For years now, towards the end of May, Salò at Lake Garda hosts plastic surgery congresses.
This year was no different. Between the 23rd and the 25th of May, the 9th International Plastic Surgery Course took place dedicated to the newest breast surgery techniques. It was made up of lectures, operations transmitted directly from prof. G. Botti’s Villa Bella Clinic as well as round-table talks.
New techniques were shown that are used to reduce breasts, simultaneous operations of suspension and enlargement of breasts, as well as new methods of breast enlargement. The scientific programme included new methods of transplantation of fat as filler material after breast enlargement.
Presented were also the newest types of breast implants that are radically different from those used up to now.
The location of the congress is uniquely beautiful.
Between the 10th and the 12th, Poznań hosted the 17th meeting of the Polish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. For the first time, the meeting included a symposium of the International Society of Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
June 7th and 8th saw Verona hosting the International Face and Nose Anatomy Course „Beauty of the face”. The course was organised for 15 persons, the lecturers were: Dr Natale Gontijo de Amorim, Dr Riccardo Mazzola, Dr Gino Rigotti, Dr Enrico Robotti, Dr Andrea Sbarbati, Dr Peter Palhazi.

President of the Association of Polish Architects of the Szczecin Branch, Marek Orłowski thanked for financial support, thanks to which the exhibition “Heritage of French Cities” was presented as part of this year’s Festival.
At the request of the Association of Assistance to Disabled Children and Youth in Road Accidents “Heart”, voivode Marcin Zydorowicz and vice-voivodship Ryszard Mićko presented awards to distinguished activists of the organization.
The ranking was commissioned by Newsweek Poland to the Association for Healthcare Quality Promotion in Poland. Not only numbers and types of surgeries performed, but also service quality and hospitalization standards were taken into consideration.
